Flowers ~ I love them :-)

Flowers on the 1st date is always a nice touch.  These are the flowers that my date gave to me when he came to pick me up yesterday.

Boy, I was pleasantly surprised because I loved getting flowers on the 1st date, so you know dude scored some major brownie points for this one.

I didn’t think we were going to be able to go because we ended up with 5′ of snow and the roads were still SNOW COVERED at 8 pm at night.

Since there was football game on the NFL Network coming on at 8:20, we decided to go out to a sport bar and watch the game.

The sport bar wasn’t too crowded so we didn’t have to wait too long for a table or for our food.

We had a nice time just sitting and talking about the game.  Glad we didn’t decide on going to a movie for the 1st date because we would not have gotten a chance to talk.

Our night was cut short because of a personal emergency so  we parted ways around midnight and promised to get back together after the holidays.

I am going to wait awhile to give him a name because he knows the ex-factor and I want to tread lightly when it comes to talking to people he knows.   I did already know him before I even met the ex-factor but I still worry about the perception. I know I shouldn’t care what other people think , but in this case I do. #dontjudgeme

So we will see how it goes!

Snow….Not today!

It is snowing today and we are supposed to get between 3-5 inces of snow.   CRAP

I got a date tonight and I am not sure if we are going to be able to go.

I hope the snow tampers off and the snow trucks do their job because I really would like to go out on this date.

Please snow, go away and come back on Christmas

DELETE ME FROM YOUR ADDRESS BOOK

Last night, I went to bed early because I was feeling like crap. *Got this stupid cold again* While I was drifting  off, I got a text from my sister.  I responded back to her text and continue onto dreamland.  J About 20 minutes later, I got another text notification.   I didn’t even look at it because I was just too tired and didn’t want to get from under the covers.

Around midnight, I woke up to get to go ‘tinkle’ and decided to look at my text messages.   I had one from my sister, one from a new guy (he’s new, I will tell ya about him in another post) and then one from a number that I didn’t expect.  I look at the number for a few minutes, shook my head, turn on the lights and then blink my eyes like 10 times to make sure that I was reading it correctly.   It was a text from the Ex-Factor.

WTF does he want now.

I opened the text and here is what it said:

01/02: FW: FWD: FW: FWD: I heard u got robbed at gunpoint with 2 options: Suck dick or give up ur phone.   I see u still have your phone. Hahahaha!

Now what the heck was that!   I don’t know why he felt the need to send me that.  DELETE ME FROM YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, just like I DELETED YOU!  This way, you can’t make a mistake and send something to someone you didn’t mean to.   I didn’t think it was appropriate to send that message to me.  We are not friends, so I didn’t I appreciate that.

But instead of getting upset about it, I just hit DELETE.  And just ignore it.   Don’t have time for these childish games.   Once again, you wanted this, so keep it moving.

What do you think?  Am I being too sensitive?  Do you think it could have been mistake on his part?  Got something to say, speak on it.

Anyway, it is Friday night and I got a date tomorrow.….I will let you all know  how it goes.

My lovescope for 2009 was so far off that it is sad.  I mean, when I read it at the beginning of the year, I was like….Yes, FINALLY, my relationship was going to go to the next level.  But never did I think that by the beginning of March, it would be all over.   We all know that the ending came as a complete SHOCK to me.

But you know what, I am going to keep reading my love horoscopes daily and hope that I will get lucky and just one day, my reality will match what is written for that day.

Birthday Celebration and Movie

Yesterday, my family and I went to Red Lobster *eww yuck, I know* to celebrate my Aun’ts 55th birthday.  We all had a really nice time.   Even at that yucky restaurant.   I ordered the chicken and it was NASTY.  But I was surrounded by my family, so I didn’t really care too much.   I did order a Sangria.   It was yummmmy.

After dinner was over, I dropped my neice and my mother off at home, I went to the movies with my BMF *Best Male Friend*

We went to see The Blind Side.   It was true story starring Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw and it was about the life of Michael Oher.  The movie was  very good and it just goes to show that you have to be grateful and appreciate every thing that you have.   You may not have everything that you want right now but what you do is have is probably 10x better than what someone else may not have.

Sometimes I may get down because my relationship ended but what I have to just keep reminding myself that I am LOVED and that is what is important.  Just because one person didn’t want to be in my life doesn’t mean that no one else will.   I have to keep reminding myself of this

Found out something today that just made me go hmmmmmmmmmmmm……ok!

That’s all I got to say is hmmmmmm…..Not even going to try to speculate.

Anyhoo, I am off to the movies with my BMF *Best Male Friend*   Dude has been in my corner from back in the day and has been here every since.

Thank GOD for good men like him….Too bad we are not a good fit ;-(

In the morning and I can’t sleep.

Lately, I been waking up at all hours of the night. I am going to bed on time but I still seem to wake up at different times for no reason.

Insomina, maybe…….

I sure hope not

Anyway, since I am up, I minds well tell yunz (Translation: you) guys about my Friday night.

I was feeling much better *thank god* so I decided to check out my friend – the Cable Guy’s Christmas party! Yeppers, he backs! Well techinically, he never left but we are still *just friends*

Anyhoo

I asked my daughter to come with me because I didn’t know anyone else there since my friend was hosting the party & probably would have been busy all night!

But I forgot that the party was at a club where you had to be 30 years & older to get in. *even though, I KNOW some of those lil chickas in there we’re NOT 30+* So my daughter left and went to the movies w/her sister & cousin. *Thanks E, for agreeing to hang out with ya madre on a Friday night! Maybe next time*

Soooooo, I end up being at the party alone. But I wasn’t alone for long because I got a chance to meet some interesting people.

One guy told the Cable Guy that I was ‘Freakin hot’ and ask me if anyone told me that I look like Anita Baker! I told him I was flattered but no, I never got that comparison. *Maybe its the short haircut?*

Another older white dude told me he would ‘kiss my boots’ for a date with me. Woooooooow! I was speechless! I guess that what happens to woman who sit at the bar alone ——> they are easy targets for some crazy dudes! . No seriously, they weren’t that bad!

After that last episode, I decided to leave the bar area & take a seat at one of the booths that they had sectioned off for party.

That was the best move I made all night.

I got an opportunity to meet some fun people and was entertained for the rest of the night. *No more strange dudes trying to kiss my boots – I am still laughing at that one*

I ended up leaving the party around 11 am *yeah, I know, it was still early, but ya girl was tired*

Told Cable Guy thanks for inviting me and he gave me a hug and told me he call me later on this weekend.

All in all, I had a nice time and glad that I did decide to go.

It is 4:30 am and I am signing off. I hope I can fall back to sleep.
