10K Training Week 4 & Spring Chick Challenge 1 – 1/16/12 – 1/22/12

This update will be used for my Spring Chick 2012 Challenge and 10k training . Here is a run down of what I did:

Monday, January 16

Exercise:  Rest Day

Tuesday, January 17

Exercise:  None
Ran 0.00 miles

I didn’t get a chance to work out today.  Had a date night with My Forever so I didn’t get a chance to run.   -:(

Wednesday, January 18

Exercise:  Strength Training – 30 minutes and quick 20 minute 2.5 miles run
Ounces of Water:   40

Since I didn’t run on Tuesday, I added a 20 minute run on the treadmill to my exercise routine.

Thursday, January 19

Exercise: Cardio-  Race Pace Day
Treadmill
Ran 3.23 miles
40:00 minutes
12:16 Pace

Ounces of Water:   32

Mood: Super Tired!  Just wasn’t into it this day.   Only manage to squeak out 3.2 miles.   Body needed a break!

Friday, January 20

Exercise: Rest Day

GREAT water drinking day!!!!!

Saturday, January 21

Exercise: Cardio Long Day

Ran 5.02 miles

Mood: Finally broke that 5 mile barrier.   I was a little tired during the end but I am happy that I was able to reach this milestone.

Sunday, January 22

Exercise:  None
Ran 0.00 miles

00:00 Pace

Mood:  I didn’t get out of the bed until after 11 am and just decided that I needed another break.

Total Workouts – 3
Total Miles for the week: 10.50
Total Calories Burned: 1390

This was NOT a good week for me.   :-(
