Decisions….

Last week I received a call from one of the VPs that I used to work for in 2010.   She had accepted a job in a new division that was added to our company.   She left me a message last Friday and stated that she had a new position in her department and she thought of me.   She stated that if I was interested, she would like to set up some time with me to discuss the position.  Now, I wasn’t looking for a new job but I didn’t want to past up the opportunity to hear about the new job.  Especially if the VP of the division was asking me personally.   So I schedule an informal meeting for last Wednesday.

After hearing about the new position and division, I have to admit that it did pique my interest.   Everything about the job sounds so interesting.  The job still involves project management, but the opportunity to do something that I never did before is both fascinating and scary at the same time.   I would love the opportunity to be part of this new division but I have to admit that I am a little scare to make the BIG JUMP.   I love what I am doing and I LOVE my boss.  I love all the perks that comes with my current job – flexible schedule, no micromanaging,great team, great boss.

One other concern that I have is the job when I found the job on our job website, it was listed at a lower title than what I currently am.  However, the posting didn’t list the grade or salary, so I follow up with the VP to find out more information on that.   I did submit my bid on the position, so hopefully, the grade and salary will be worth it.  :-)

But I would LOVE to work in the new division.   ARGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!  I just don’t know!

Busy as bumblebee……

Wow….I haven’t posted in a few months.  Sorry folks, but I have been super busy.  Busy busy busy…..

-          I got married….The wedding and reception turned out great. 

-          Went to Jamaica for my honeymoon….we had a great time. Can’t wait to go back.

-          Got in the ocean and rode a jet ski…..it wasn’t as bad as I thought

-          Ran my first half marathon.  I DID IT! 

-          Injured both knees in the ½ marathon.  L

-          I think it is runners’ knee but need to get a diagnosis from a Specialist

-          So that means, no running until I find out what is wrong with my knees L

See I told you I was busy.
